USS Intrepid trip postponed

Hello Troop 1 Katonah, I just checked the status of the USS Intrepid and it remains closed at this time. If per chance it does open in the next couple of weeks it will primarily only be the USS Intrepid, the Growler (submarine) and the Concorde that you will be able to view. The Space Shuttle Enterprise received some damage to its vertical tail fin during hurricane Sandy and will be repaired and reopen to the public when it is done. With that being said we are going to POSTPONE the USS Intrepid trip to a later date, perhaps in the late winter to early spring so we can also see the Space Shuttle Enterprise along with all of the other exciting aircrafts like the A-12 Blackbird. In lieu of this change of events we are going to go visit the Military Museum of Southern New England , located in Danbury Connecticut on December 15th. In the preservation of our Nations Military History the museums intention was to maintain the memory of the American Tank Destroyer Units of the second world war.
