Meeting at American Legion Post 2575 at 6:30

This Thursday's meeting will be held at American Legion Post 2575 (near the intersection of Jay Street and Route 22 in Katonah) starting at 6:30 . We have been invited by the local American Legion post for dinner, so come hungry and in full uniform!

2010 Centennial Camporee

Troop 1 Katonah has just been through one of the greatest experiences in its 90 year history- the Westchester-Putnam Council 2010 Centennial Camporee! Our troop, along with 1,300 other people, occupied the Blue Mountain Reservation in Peekskill from April 30-May 2. The trip started out by going on a half hour trip up to Blue Mountain, where we signed in for the weekend. From the parking lot, we went on a twenty foot hike to the campsite. Campsites were side by side to each other, and there were unfamiliar troops from other districts surrounding us. After setting up camp, the schedule was pretty simple, starting with our Scoutmaster and SPL encampment meeting, where we learned more on the events to come. Troop 1 attends Centennial Camporee at Blue Mountain Park

More photos on WPC's Facebook page... Katonah Troop 1 attended the Westchester-Putnam Council's Centennial Camporee this past weekend at Blue Mountain Park in Peekskill, New York. This special all-council event celebrated the history of Scouting in America coupled with fun and engaging activities for the Scouts. Both the Mad Monkeys and the Swamp Chickens attended this special event, and everyone had a great time. Look for a full review later! Photos on the Council web site can be found here .
