Maine canoe trip - June 25-28

We will be meeting at Katonah Elementary School parking lot at 8:30am and departing at 9:00am. The trip can take up to six hours. Please pack a bag lunch. Also important to bring any personal prescribed medications for allergies and other conditions. A full pack list was provided to all Scouts who are attending. We will be returning on Tuesday, June 28. If you have any questions, please call Assistant Scoutmaster Otto Vondrak at 585-820-2341. See you soon!

Last Meeting of the Year!

Our Spring Court of Honor and last meeting of the school year will be held at St. Mary's School on Thursday, June 16 at 7:30. All Scouts should attend in full uniform. Parents, siblings and friends are invited to attend! Several of our Scouts will be awarded rank advancements, merit badges, and other special recognitions. See you there!

Whitewater Rafting Trip Photos!

Photos from the June 11 whitewater rafting trip! Reminder that this coming Thursday is out last meeting of the year. We will be holding a special Court of Honor that all Scouts, their families, and their friends are invited to attend. Meeting will be at St. Mary's, starting sharp at 7:30!

Whitewater Rafting Trip - June 11

  Please arrive at KES on Saturday, June 11 at 7:00am sharp, so that we can immediately hit the road. There will be a $5.00 refund per participant, due to a special discount that Chris was able to obtain. Don't forget to pack a light lunch that will be stored in water proof bucket on the raft. Leave all non-waterproof items, including cameras in the car. Board of Review, Whitewater Rafting Trip

  We tried something a little different for Thursday's meeting. The troop was split up into four groups. Each was given a pile of newspapers and some tape. Their task: create a table that would support an empty cardboard box, then fill that box with weight to test the design. We had some pretty surprising results ranging from no support at all to quite sturdy! Next Thursday, June 9, is Board of Review. You only need to attend if you are going before the Board of Review to get your next rank. If you need a Scoutmaster's Conference prior to Board of Review, you need to call Scoutmaster Hank Tschorn at 232-5420 and schedule one BEFORE THURSDAY. Whetehr or not you go to Board of Review, everyone is invited to enjoy the Katonah Fire Department Carnival ! The Whitewater Rafting Trip will be June 11 and Asst.
