Troop 1 Katonah, New York

Just because school is out doesn't mean our Scouts are idle! Scouts and adult leaders from Troop 1 Katonah participated in the July 10 Mianus River Gorge Cleanup Day at the Mianus River Gorge Preserve in Bedford. Our Scouts patrolled the riverbed and removed a full truck load of garbage, tires, sofas, motors, golf balls and more. Katonah Troop 1 enjoyed its 54th year on the Saco River during the annual Maine Canoe Trip. Using the cabin that former Scoutmaster Doc Smith left to our troop as a base, we enjoyed a two day overnight trip that started in New Hampshire and ended on Lovell's Pond in Fryeburg, Maine.
