Beginning a new annual tradition led by Thom Adamec, Katonah Troop 1 went on an evening trip to Grand Prix in Mt. Kisco for the second time on February 20th. Expecting good racing, good food, and good company, all the boys were eager to participate in this event. Upon arriving at Grand Prix, after signing in and making sure everybody was there, the troop proceeded to the fast track where they were informed about the safety regulations of the track. After everybody was filled in and understood to respect the track, the racing begun. The group was separated into three groups, the adults, the young scouts, and finally the older cool scouts. A system was established where one group would go first for two races while the second would await their turn while the third ate and drank a selection of tasty foods and beverages provided in a private party room.
