Mianus River Gorge Cleanup

Just because school is out doesn't mean our Scouts are idle! Scouts and adult leaders from Troop 1 Katonah participated in the July 10 Mianus River Gorge Cleanup Day at the Mianus River Gorge Preserve in Bedford. Our Scouts patrolled the riverbed and removed a full truck load of garbage, tires, sofas, motors, golf balls and more. After hauling out all sorts of items that did not belong, the troop enjoyed a good lunch. Want to help out? Check out the Preserve's website for future cleanup dates and other activities.
