Late last night, Council decided to postpone the Fall Camporee due to the impending bad weather we are supposed to get this weekend. The new date will be October 3-4-5, Stay tuned for more details.

The Fall Camporee "Rally at the Ridge" will be held at Durland (formerly Clear Lake) Scout Reservation from September 26 to 28. The troop will arrive at Durland on Friday evening and hike into their campsite. The hike is about a mile, and Scouts will need to be prepared for the weekend. Saturday Trail Activities include: - Ax Yard/Wood Tools Safety Demonstration - Waterbucket Bridgage Obstacle Course - Firebuilding/String Burn Race - Knots and Lashings - "Leave No Trace" Demonstration Saturday Campsite Activities include: - Building a Wilderness Shelter - Creating a "camp help" - Participating in the Cooking Contest - "Secret Ingredient" is ORANGES! And don't forget the Saturday Night Campfire! We hope all Scouts will attend the first District event of the year! More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Dear Parents and Scouts, Welcome to Katonah Troop #1, BSA! We look forward to another great year full of many activities. Click here to find the 2009-2010 schedule of events. Please help your Scout keep track of future events. We want each boy to be as active as possible and not miss out on any of the action! Please remember that the troop is only as good as each individual scout makes it. We realize everyone has a full schedule and have tried to plan our calendar accordingly. This is a commitment you and your Scout are making and the troop’s success really does depend on each Scout’s (and parent’s) involvement! Please keep these important points in mind…. 1. Meetings are held on Thursday nights in the Katonah Elementary School. We may have to meet in different rooms, but we will notify the boys ahead of time when possible. 2.
